Varo 7 Light Crystal Chandelier - Chrome

The Varo is a 59cm crystal chandelier with seven G9 bulb fittings arranged inside a circular chrome frame, surrounded by faceted crystal drops that hang in radiating rows from the rim. The polished chrome canopy suspends the frame on three tension cables, positioning the shallow bowl-shaped structure 22cm deep when viewed from the side. Each G9 fitting accepts bulbs up to 33W combined maximum load (sold separately).

Designed for dining rooms, open-plan living spaces and double-height entrance halls, the Varo sits 700-900mm above a dining table or functions as a central feature in rooms with 2.7m or higher ceilings. The circular footprint of 59cm diameter suits round or square tables seating 4-6 people, and the shallow profile keeps the fitting visible without dominating sightlines across the room. The crystal drops refract light from the G9 bulbs into prismatic patterns on surrounding walls and ceilings when lit.

The faceted crystal elements are cut in a ribbed pattern that creates vertical texture around the chrome frame, giving the fitting a layered appearance when viewed from below. The polished chrome finish reflects both natural daylight and artificial light, amplifying brightness in the space. At 5.8kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or reinforced rose, and the three-cable suspension system distributes the weight evenly while allowing the frame to hang level. What bulbs does the Varo take?

The fitting has seven G9 bulb holders with a combined maximum load of 33W. G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W each in 2700K-3000K warm white are typically used, giving around 21-35W total. Bulbs are sold separately.

What ceiling height is needed?

The shallow 22cm profile suits standard 2.4m ceilings when hung as a dining table pendant 700-900mm above the surface. For entrance halls or double-height spaces, ceiling heights of 2.7m or above work well with the Varo as a central feature.

Is the Varo dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the G9 bulbs chosen. Most LED G9 bulbs specify whether they are dimmable on the packaging. The chrome frame and crystal structure itself has no electronic components that would prevent dimming.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool fully. Wipe each crystal drop with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the chrome frame or allowing water near the bulb holders.
