Bedding, towels and rugs

Our soft furnishings begin with bedding: duvet covers, pillowcases, fitted sheets and bedspreads. Team a duvet cover with pillowcases that match or contrast, then fold a bedspread across the foot of the duvet for another layer of colour. We stock towels and bath mats too, and keeping them to a shared colour makes a bathroom feel finished.

Rugs, doormats, seat pads and draught excluders complete the section. Measure before you choose a rug: mark its outline on the floor with masking tape and live with it for a day or so. A rug usually sits best with a margin of bare floor around its edge, and in a hallway it should stop short of the door so the door can open freely.

Cushions, throws and curtains

Cushions and throws are a quick way to change how a room feels. When layering, put bigger cushions at the back and smaller cushions in front, and mix plain with patterned or textured so the arrangement has depth. A throw folded over an armrest or left within reach adds warmth and ties the colours of a room together.

We stock eyelet curtains and pencil pleat curtains, along with curtain panels. Check whether you hang curtains from a pole or a track before choosing a heading, then measure its width and the drop from it to where the curtains should finish, at the sill or the floor. Allow a combined width comfortably wider than the pole or track so the curtains gather into soft folds when closed.

Kitchen and dining

Our kitchen and dining range covers plates, bowls, cups, mugs, glassware, jugs and teapots, along with cutlery and dinnerware sets. For serving, we stock platters, serveware and trays. To dress the setting, there are napkins, napkin rings, placemats, coasters and runners. We also stock children's tableware, drinkware and barware, and kitchen accessories.

A dinnerware set is a simple place to start, and you can add serving pieces and glassware around it over time. If you prefer to mix and match, keep to a shared colour, shape or finish so the setting still feels considered. Changing the napkins and runner is an easy way to move from a weekday supper to a gathering with friends.

Candles, vases and decorative pieces

We stock candles, scented candles, candle holders and reed diffusers. Trim the wick before you burn a candle, keep it clear of draughts and anything that could catch, and never leave a flame unattended. A reed diffuser scents a room without a flame. Our vases and planters are worth grouping: stand pieces together at different heights, and repeat a colour or material so the group reads as a set.

Our decoration section holds sculptures and figurines, decorative bowls, trays, bookends, trinket boxes, door stops and other decorative accessories. A decorative bowl or tray gathers small things into a tidy group, bookends keep a run of books upright, and a sculpture needs a little space around it to be seen properly.

Wall art, frames and clocks

We stock wall art and photo frames for putting the things you love on show. Hang a picture so its centre sits around eye level. When you plan a gallery wall, lay the frames out on the floor before you hang anything and keep the gaps between them even.

Our clocks include wall clocks and mantel clocks. A wall clock can anchor a gallery wall or fill a bare stretch of wall, while a mantel clock suits a mantelpiece or deep windowsill. Choose a size in proportion to the space, and a face you can read from across the room.

Faux plants and the fireside

We stock faux plants, and they are a good choice for spots where a real plant would struggle, such as a dark corner or a high ledge. Instead of watering, give them an occasional dust with a soft, dry cloth, and set them in a planter or vase that suits the room.

We stock fireside accessories for the hearth, and Christmas decorations are part of the range too. Decorations work best when they pick up colours already in the room. Keep them well away from an open fire.

Pulling a room together

Start with the biggest soft furnishing, usually the rug or curtains, and take colours from it for cushions, throws and smaller pieces. Repeat a colour or material around the room so the eye moves from piece to piece, and mix textures, rough with smooth and matt with glossy, so nothing feels flat. If a room still feels unfinished, it is usually missing something on the walls, something soft or a touch of greenery.

Across our range, many pieces suit the living room. Many suit the bedroom, the dining room or the kitchen. We stock pieces in ceramic, glass, metal, wood, cotton, velvet, linen and jute, and in styles from modern and rustic to classic and Scandinavian. Many pieces come in neutral colours, and many come in earthy tones, so pieces from different sections mix easily.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does your home decor and accessories range cover?

We stock soft furnishings, cushions and throws, curtains, kitchen and dining pieces, candles, vases and planters, decorative pieces, wall art and frames, clocks, faux plants and fireside accessories, along with Christmas decorations. Furniture, mirrors and garden pieces have their own departments.

How do I layer cushions and throws?

Build from the back, with bigger cushions behind smaller cushions, and mix plain, patterned and textured covers so the look has depth. Finish with a throw folded over an armrest or across the foot of the bedding, picking up a colour from the cushions.

What size rug should I choose?

Measure the floor and mark the outline with masking tape, so you can see how the rug will sit before you buy. Leave a margin of bare floor around the edges, and keep rugs clear of doors so the doors open freely.

How do I measure for curtains?

Measure the width of your pole or track, then the drop from it to where you want the curtains to finish, whether that is the sill or the floor. Allow extra width so the curtains gather into folds when closed rather than stretching flat, and choose eyelet or pencil pleat headings to suit how you hang them.

How should I care for cushions, throws and bedding?

Check the care label and follow it, as care varies between fabrics and finishes. Plump cushions and shake out throws regularly to keep them looking their best, and give bedding a good airing.

How do I group vases and decorative pieces?

Place pieces at different heights and keep to a shared colour, material or shape so the group hangs together. A tray or decorative bowl can gather smaller pieces, and a little space around a sculpture lets it stand out.

Can I buy matching tableware or mix and match?

You can do either. We stock dinnerware sets for a matching look, as well as plates, bowls, cups, mugs and glassware to combine as you like. Keeping to a shared colour or shape helps a mixed setting look considered.
