Description

The Duxford is a 31cm-high polyresin sculpture depicting five abstracted human figures seated on a horizontal bench suspended within a geometric matt black frame. The figures are finished in an antique bronze effect with rough, distressed surface texture that contrasts with the smooth black metal frame and dark wood base.

Designed as a display ornament for console tables, mantels, bookshelves and sideboards in living rooms, hallways and home offices, the Duxford adds sculptural presence without requiring large amounts of surface area. The 27.7cm width fits comfortably on standard console depths of 30-40cm. The grouped figures suggest family or community, making the piece a common choice for family homes, as a housewarming gift, or as a symbolic representation of togetherness in communal spaces.

No. The Duxford is made from polyresin with an antique bronze finish applied to the surface. This gives the appearance and textured finish of cast bronze at a lower weight and price point than solid metal.

The sculpture measures 27.7cm wide and 8.2cm deep. It fits comfortably on standard console tables with depths of 30cm or more, and on most bookshelves with depths above 20cm.

How is the bronze finish maintained?

Wipe gently with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. Avoid water, household cleaners and polishes, which can damage the distressed finish or strip the bronze coating from the polyresin underneath.

Can it be displayed outdoors?

No. Polyresin is not weatherproof and will degrade if exposed to rain, frost or prolonged sunlight. The Duxford is designed for indoor display only.
