Stereo Amplifiers
Our range of stereo and Bluetooth amplifiers suits homes, cafés and small shops where a compact box needs to drive a pair of speakers and take a feed from a phone. Alongside desktop units we stock in-wall amplifiers for multi-room systems, where the amplifier lives behind a faceplate rather than on a shelf. Found it cheaper elsewhere? We will match the price.

What to look for in a compact stereo amplifier
Three things decide whether a small amplifier will satisfy you: the power per channel at your speakers impedance, the inputs you actually need, and whether it runs cool enough to sit in a cupboard. For a pair of ceiling speakers or bookshelf speakers in a domestic room, 20W to 50W per channel is plenty, and going bigger changes very little at listening volume. Where the amplifier will be enclosed, efficiency matters more than raw output.
Bluetooth, and what it does and does not do
Bluetooth is the quickest way to get music from a phone into a system, and on a modern unit the quality is entirely adequate for background listening. Two things to know. It pairs to one device at a time, so in a shared space the last person to connect keeps control until they walk out of range. It also introduces a small delay, which is irrelevant for music but noticeable if you are watching video, so use a wired input for a television.
Matching speakers
Check the impedance your speakers present and confirm the amplifier is rated for it. Most bookshelf and ceiling speakers are 8 ohm, which almost anything will drive. If you plan to wire two pairs to one amplifier, the combined load can fall to 4 ohm and not every compact unit is happy there, so either choose one rated for 4 ohm or use an amplifier with two switchable speaker outputs.
In-wall and multi-room amplifiers
An in-wall amplifier fits a standard back box and drives a pair of speakers in that room, taking its source over Bluetooth or a local input. It suits bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms where there is nowhere to put a box, and it means each room has its own volume without a central rack. The trade-off is that each room becomes its own island, so if you want one source playing everywhere, a multi zone amplifier in a cupboard is the better architecture.
Inputs and sources
Look past Bluetooth to what else you need. A 3.5mm or RCA input covers a television, a turntable needs a phono stage either in the amplifier or as a separate box, and an optical input is worth having if the television has no analogue output. USB playback is useful in a shop where the same playlist runs all day without a phone attached.
Placement and ventilation
Compact amplifiers are frequently hidden, and heat is what kills them. Leave air space above and behind, avoid sitting one directly on a router or a set top box, and do not enclose it in a sealed cupboard without ventilation. If the case is too hot to rest a hand on comfortably, it needs more air.
