Description

The Adastra A200 is a digital stereo PA amplifier with a built-in media player and a class-D amplifier section. It delivers up to 2 x 100W maximum output at 4 Ohms, or 2 x 55W RMS, which is enough for background music across a room or zone. There's a microphone input with its own volume control, so you can make announcements or alerts over the top of whatever is playing. Tone is handled by separate treble and bass controls alongside the music and mic volume.

You get plenty of ways to feed audio in. The media player section switches between a USB/microSD MP3 player, an FM tuner, a Bluetooth receiver, two rear-panel stereo line inputs on RCA, and a front-panel 3.5mm input. Playback runs from the front panel or the supplied infrared remote control. The FM tuner uses an F-type aerial connection (antenna in the US). It ships with a UK to C13 power lead and runs on 230Vac, 50Hz.

The A200 is small enough to be practical in tight spaces. Four mounting brackets are supplied so two units sit side by side in a single 1U rack space, which suits smaller peripheral zones within a larger PA setup. Each measures 215 x 180 x 43mm and weighs just over a kilo. Pair it with two or four speakers for a space-saving sound system, and it will happily drive larger background speakers up to medium-sized PA speakers.
