Terminal strips and connector blocks

Terminal strips and connector blocks join and distribute wiring runs, giving a tidy, secure way to connect cables without splicing them directly. They are a staple for extending circuits, branching a run and making clean joins inside enclosures and junction boxes.

What the range covers

The range covers 12-way terminal blocks in heat-resistant PA66, rated across a spread of current ratings so you can pick a block to suit the load on the run. Alongside these are 100A 5-way single-pole connector blocks colour-coded for line, neutral and earth, plus single and double-pole service connector blocks with brass terminals for higher-current distribution.

Cut to the number of ways you need

The 12-way strips can be cut down to the exact number of ways a job calls for, so one block covers several jobs and there is no waste on small connections. The colour-coded single-pole blocks make it easy to keep line, neutral and earth clearly separated across a distribution point, which helps anyone working on the wiring later.

How to choose

Match the block to the current the circuit carries, then to the number of conductors you need to join. Brass-terminal service blocks suit heavier distribution work, while the smaller cut-to-length strips handle everyday joins. Heat-resistant bodies keep the connection sound where things run warm.

Fitting and delivery

Wiring connections carry mains power, so they should be made by a qualified electrician. Free delivery worldwide on all orders over £99.

Frequently Asked Questions

What current ratings are available?
Terminal blocks come rated 3A, 15A, 30A and 60A, while the connector and service connector blocks are rated up to 100A. Choose a block rated at or above the current the circuit carries, and check it suits the cable size you are joining.

How many ways do the blocks have?
The PA66 terminal blocks are 12-way and can be cut down to the number of connections you need. The heavier connector blocks are 5-way single-pole units, and the service connector blocks come as single-pole and double-pole versions with brass terminals.

What does the colour coding on the connector blocks mean?
The 100A 5-way connector blocks are supplied in brown, black and grey for line conductors, blue for neutral and green for earth. The colours help you keep conductors identified and consistent across a connection so the wiring stays easy to follow.

Can I use these for a permanent mains connection?
These blocks are built for reliable wiring joins, but any permanent mains connection should be made with the supply isolated and the conductors fully secured in the terminals. For fixed wiring connected to the mains, we recommend the work is carried out by a qualified electrician.
