Description
The Caelith Medium is a 600mm carved alabaster wall light built around a tall, vertical slab of natural Spanish alabaster set within a brushed brass frame. A single G4 capsule bulb sits behind the stone, lighting the alabaster from within so the natural veining, mineral inclusions and tonal variation read clearly across the surface. The width measures 150mm and the fitting projects 100mm from the wall.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and stairwells, the Caelith suits both single installation beside a mirror or doorway and paired use either side of a bed, console or fireplace. The 600mm height works in standard 2.4m ceiling rooms without dominating the wall, while the slim 100mm projection keeps the fitting close to the surface in narrower corridors. The brass backplate fits a standard wall box for hardwired mains installation.
Each alabaster panel is cut and carved individually, so the stone pattern, translucency and warmth of tone differ between pieces. The carved lower edge gives the slab an irregular, almost geological profile that becomes more pronounced when lit. The brushed brass surround softens reflections under daylight and frames the stone with a defined metallic outline, and the G4 bulb sits out of direct view behind the panel, so the lit face reads as an even glow rather than a visible lamp.

Frequently Asked
Does the Caelith come with a bulb?
No. The fitting takes one G4 capsule bulb, which is not supplied with the light. Because the bulb is replaceable you can choose the brightness and colour temperature that suit the room. Please contact us if you would like advice on selecting a bulb.
Is the alabaster identical between pieces?
No. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining pattern, mineral inclusions, translucency and warmth of tone differ between pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a fault.
Can two be installed as a pair?
Yes. The Caelith works well as a paired fitting either side of a bed, mirror, console or fireplace. Each unit requires its own wired mains connection at the standard wall box position.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so avoid household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but do not soak the stone.
