Wiring kept dry outdoors

Weatherproof enclosures and junction boxes house connections that have to live outside, on walls, fences and exterior runs. Moulded in polycarbonate with sealed lids, they keep rain and dust off the wiring inside so a joint or a length of connector stays protected through the seasons. They suit gardens, yards and the outside of commercial buildings alike, taking the connection out of the weather without sending it back indoors.

IP55 and IP66 protection

The range carries an IP55 rating, the figure that describes how well an enclosure resists dust and water. IP55 handles general outdoor exposure, while IP66 steps up to heavier rain and the kind of wash-down a yard or a working wall sees. Picking the rating to match the location means the contents stay sealed where they sit, rather than letting damp creep in over time.

Sizes for the job

Boxes run from a compact 86mm box to a larger 334mm enclosure. The smaller boxes suit a single joint or a short run, while the larger ones give room for more connections and a tidier internal layout. Choosing the right size leaves space to work without crowding the wiring, and means the lid closes down properly over a full box.

Black and grey finishes

Enclosures come in black to sit quietly against brickwork, fencing or cladding rather than drawing the eye. The polycarbonate shell resists knocks and weather, and the lid seals back down to keep the protection in place after the box has been opened for work.

Mounting outdoors

These fix to walls, fences and posts wherever an outdoor connection needs housing, with the entry points kept downward so water runs off rather than in. A qualified electrician should make and test the connections inside. Free delivery worldwide on all orders over £99.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do the IP55 and IP66 ratings mean?
An IP rating describes how well the enclosure keeps out dust and water. IP55 suits general outdoor exposure, while IP66 handles heavier rain and wash-down conditions, so you choose the rating that fits where the box will sit.

What material are the enclosures made from?
They are moulded in polycarbonate, which resists knocks and weather, with a sealed lid that closes back down to keep moisture out.

What sizes are available?
Sizes run from a compact 86mm box to a larger 334mm enclosure, so you can match the box to the number of connections it needs to hold.

Where can these be mounted?
They fix to walls, fences and posts for outdoor and exterior wiring runs, and come in black to blend with brick, fencing or cladding.

Can these be used for underground or buried connections?
These enclosures are made for mounting on outdoor surfaces such as walls and fences. For any connection, a qualified electrician should confirm the right product and complete the wiring and testing.
