A good log basket does more than hold your firewood. It keeps kindling off the floor, makes carrying fuel from the woodshed easier, and gives your hearth a settled, lived-in feel. Our range brings together metal log holders and traditional coal buckets, so you can match the storage to the way you heat your home. Rope handles and reinforced bases mean each log basket carries a full load without straining, while our coal bucket options come with practical scoops for cleaner refills.

Choosing the right piece for your hearth

If you burn wood, a wide log basket or a low log holder sits neatly beside the fireplace and keeps a few days' worth of logs within easy reach. For coal fires, a coal bucket with a lid helps contain dust and keeps things tidy between refills. Many of our customers keep both, using a log holder for larger logs and a coal bucket for smaller fuel and kindling. Consider the space you have and how often you top up before you decide on size.

We choose materials that wear well over time, so your log basket or coal bucket looks the part season after season. Everything in this range is built for regular handling around the fireside, and each piece works just as well for storing blankets, magazines or garden odds and ends once the warmer months arrive. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a log basket and a coal bucket?
A log basket is usually wider and open to hold logs and kindling, while a coal bucket tends to be deeper with a lid or scoop to contain coal dust. Many people keep both by the fire, using each for its own type of fuel.

How big a log basket do I need?
It depends on how often you want to refill. A larger log basket holds several days' worth of logs, while a compact log holder suits smaller hearths or a quick top-up. Measure the space beside your fireplace before choosing.

Are your log baskets sturdy enough to carry?
Yes. Our log baskets have reinforced bases and strong handles so you can carry a full load of firewood from the woodshed to the hearth without worrying about the basket giving way.

Can I use a log basket for storage other than firewood?
Absolutely. Once the fire season ends, a log basket makes handy storage for blankets, cushions, magazines or garden bits, so it earns its place all year round.

Do your coal buckets come with a scoop?
Many of our coal bucket options include a matching scoop or shovel for tidier refills. Check the individual product details to see what is included with each piece.

Do you offer free delivery on log baskets and coal buckets?
Yes. We offer free delivery worldwide on all orders over £99, including our log baskets, log holders and coal buckets.
