The Auriel is a 19-light cluster chandelier built from 120mm globes of natural Spanish alabaster, suspended on clear cables from a circular brushed brass canopy. The globes are arranged in a tight, layered cluster roughly 730mm in diameter, with each shade housing its own G9 lamp. The clear suspension wires hold the alabaster spheres in formation while keeping the visible structure minimal, so the cluster reads as a floating mass of stone.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells, vaulted dining rooms and open-plan living spaces, the Auriel suits ceiling heights of 3m or above where the 1500mm overall drop and substantial 730mm diameter can be appreciated. The cluster works as both ambient and decorative lighting: with 19 G9 lamps lit together, output is significant, while the alabaster softens and diffuses each point of light into a warm glow.

Each alabaster globe is cut from natural stone, so veining, mineral patterning and translucency vary between shades. Lit from within, these variations become visible across the cluster, giving the chandelier an organic appearance rather than the uniform finish of opal or frosted glass. The brushed brass canopy and small cap fittings at the top of each globe pick up warm tones from the lit alabaster, tying the metal and stone together rather than letting them sit as separate elements.

The total drop is 1500mm and the cluster itself is 730mm in diameter, so the chandelier suits rooms with ceilings of 3m or above. It works particularly well in double-height entrance halls, stairwell voids and vaulted dining rooms where the cluster can be viewed from multiple levels. The suspension cables can be shortened on installation if a shorter drop is required.

What bulbs does it take, and are they included?

The Auriel uses 19 x G9 capsule lamps. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white G9 LED of around 2700K-3000K is recommended to complement the natural tone of the alabaster and to keep heat output low across all 19 fittings.

Will each alabaster globe look the same?

No. Each globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual shades. This is a feature of the natural material and becomes more visible when the chandelier is lit, giving the cluster an organic appearance.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so it should be dusted with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used sparingly.
