Panzeri

We stock Panzeri, the Italian lighting company, and every product here is made by Panzeri. Carlo Panzeri founded the family company in 1947, first making chandelier parts, and it launched lights under its own name in 1991. We stock its pendant lights, wall and ceiling lights, table and floor lamps, outdoor lights and system parts, many dimmable and many with integrated LED.

Panzeri, an Italian family lighting company

Panzeri is an Italian company with its factory in Biassono, in Monza and Brianza, in Lombardy. Carlo Panzeri founded it in 1947, and it began by making parts for chandeliers. In 1991 it launched the Panzeri brand for its own lighting. It is a family company, and Carlo handed it on to the next generation.

Panzeri names its values as quality, tradition and innovation. For the company, that means carefully chosen materials and skilled handwork, brought together with LED technology and Italian design. We stock Panzeri lighting for exactly that mix of craft and modern light.

Panzeri ranges, designers and colours

Among the Panzeri ranges we stock are Zero Round, Hilow, Firefly In The Sky and Tubino, which Panzeri itself features, along with Murané R and Adamas. Many of the lights we stock were designed by Enzo Panzeri, and many by Matteo Thun, both on his own and with Benedetto Fasciana. Officina Panzeri and Hangar Design Group designed others.

We stock Panzeri lights in black, white and grey, and in brass, bronze and champagne for a warmer look. Many come in green or brown as well. If you are matching switches or handles already in the room, compare the colour name on the product page with what you have.

Panzeri pendant lights and ceiling canopies

We stock many Panzeri pendant lights, for hanging over a dining table, a kitchen island or a stairwell. Over a table, hang a pendant low enough to pool light on the surface but clear of the view across it; in a stairwell, a longer drop makes use of the height.

Some pendants we stock are made as part of a lighting system, with the ceiling canopy, the part at the ceiling the light hangs from, sold separately. We stock many ceiling canopies as parts for these systems. Check the pendant's product page to see whether it needs a canopy, and order both together so your electrician can fit them at the same time.

Panzeri wall, ceiling and track lights

We stock many Panzeri wall lights and ceiling lights, for rooms where a pendant would hang too low. A wall light adds another layer of light at eye level, which softens a room lit only from above, and a ceiling light keeps a low room clear.

We stock some track ceiling lights, for a run of light along a ceiling. There are a few track spotlights too, for picking out a picture or a shelf. Alongside them we stock a few track system parts, the pieces that complete a track. A few lighting accessories cover the other parts a system may need. For light aimed down onto a worktop or a table, we stock a few downlights.

Panzeri table and floor lamps

We stock many Panzeri table lamps and floor lamps, for the places a ceiling light misses: a reading chair, a desk, a sideboard or a bedside. A lamp gives a softer evening light than an overhead fitting, and light from low points around a room feels more welcoming than a bright centre light alone.

Check the dimensions on the product page against the table or corner you have in mind. For a desk, place the lamp on the side opposite your writing hand, so your hand does not shade the page.

Panzeri outdoor lights for gardens and terraces

We stock many Panzeri lights made for outdoors. Some are outdoor floor lamps, for a terrace or a seating area after dark. A few are bollard lights, which line a path or a drive at low level so you can see your footing. A few outdoor pendant lights suit a pergola or a porch.

We stock many lights rated against splashing water, and many sealed against dust and jets of water as well. Match the rating on the product page to where the light will sit, and ask a qualified electrician to wire in bollards and other fixed outdoor lights.

Warm white and dimming in Panzeri LED lights

Many of the Panzeri lights we stock have integrated LED, built in rather than added as a bulb. A few need a separate bulb instead. We stock many at 2700K, a warm white close to an old filament bulb that suits living rooms and bedrooms, and many at 3000K, a slightly crisper white for kitchens. Keep to the same colour temperature within a room so the light matches.

We stock many dimmable Panzeri lights, and the dimming method decides how you control them. Many dim by DALI, for use with a DALI lighting control system. Many use push dimming, from a simple push switch on the wall. Some use phase-cut dimming, from a compatible wall dimmer. A few use step dimming, moving between set levels. A few have a dimmer on the cable. Check the method on the product page against your controls before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Panzeri an Italian brand, and how long has it been making lights?

Yes. Panzeri is an Italian family company with its factory in Biassono, in Lombardy; Carlo Panzeri founded it in 1947, and it first made parts for chandeliers. It launched the Panzeri brand for its own lights in 1991.

Do Panzeri lights come with bulbs?

Many of the Panzeri lights we stock have integrated LED, so the light source is built in and there is no bulb to buy. A few take a separate bulb, so check the product page for the bulb type and whether it is included.

Which Panzeri lights can be dimmed, and how?

We stock many dimmable Panzeri lights, and many of them dim by DALI or by push dimming from a push switch. Some work with a compatible phase-cut wall dimmer instead. Look for the dimming method on the product page and make sure your switch or control system suits it.

Why do some Panzeri pendants come without a canopy?

In some lighting systems we stock, the pendant and its ceiling canopy, the part at the ceiling it hangs from, are sold as separate parts. We stock many ceiling canopies for this reason. If a pendant's product page lists a canopy, add it to the same order.

What else do I need for a track or recessed system?

A track system needs the track, the lights that fit it and the parts that complete it, so check the product page of the light you choose for the parts it lists. We stock a few track system parts. For recessed lights, check the product page for any other part it needs, and ask your electrician to look at the space above the ceiling before you order.

Can I use Panzeri lights outdoors?

Yes, if you choose a light made for outdoor use. We stock many outdoor Panzeri lights. Check the water and dust rating on the product page against where the light will go, and have a qualified electrician wire in fixed outdoor lights.

Should I choose 2700K or 3000K for a Panzeri light?

We stock many Panzeri lights at 2700K and many at 3000K, so the choice comes down to the room. Choose 2700K for a warm, relaxed light in a living room or bedroom, and 3000K for a slightly crisper light in a kitchen or hallway, keeping to the same colour temperature within a room.
