Description

The Brooklyn Round 360° is a ring light on a grand scale: a slim black circle 195cm across that fits on a ceiling or on a wall. A white diffuser runs all the way round the ring, a clean band of white against the black finish. The light source is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 109W and gives 5931 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a CRI of 90, which means skin tones, timber and fabrics look true rather than flat or washed out.

At 195cm across, this is a ceiling light for a big space: an open-plan living and dining area, a double-height hallway, a large meeting room or a reception area. Fixed to the ceiling, the ring sits as a wide circle above the room, with the output to serve as its main light; on a large wall it becomes a bold black circle. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only. It dims by DALI or push control, so it can join a building's DALI system or be dimmed from a push switch, from full brightness down to a softer evening level.

The ring is finished in black, which keeps the frame crisp against a pale ceiling or wall and lets the white diffuser carry the light. Its canopy is 31.4cm across, which is worth knowing when you plan where it will sit. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician; let them know whether you want DALI or push dimming before they start, so the right control is in place.
