Description

Murané is a wall and ceiling light built around a single sphere of pink glass, held on a dome-shaped backplate in a Brushed Champagne finish. The glass has a rippled, uneven surface that catches and bends the light, so the sphere glows with soft folds of colour rather than a flat shine. The sphere is 10cm across, and the light projects 13.2cm from the wall or ceiling. Inside is an integrated LED of 4W giving 167lm at a warm 2700K, so there is no bulb to buy or change. A CRI of 90 means colours, skin tones and wood near it look natural.

It fits on a ceiling or on a wall, either surface-mounted or partially recessed, so the same light can sit on a landing ceiling and on a bedroom wall. At 167lm it gives a gentle, warm glow rather than a bright working light, which makes it a good choice for hallways, landings, bedsides, alcoves and living rooms where you want soft pools of colour. Several together on one wall or across a ceiling build a playful pattern of pink spheres. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The dome-shaped backplate carries the Brushed Champagne finish, a soft pale gold with a fine brushed grain that sits warmly against the pink glass.
