Description

The Murané R 75 is the ceiling canopy for the Murané R range, a round plate in Brushed Champagne that sits flat to the ceiling and carries both the power and the hanging for the pendants below it. It measures 24.3cm across, and it comes with a 500cm power cable and 500cm steel cables, which gives you plenty of length to set the pendants at the height you want. It gives no light of its own: the pendants hung from it take their mains supply through it, and those pendants are sold separately.

Because the cables are so long, this canopy suits rooms with height to fill: a double-height living room, a stairwell, an entrance hall or a dining room with a high ceiling, where a composition of pendants can hang well clear of heads. It is an indoor fitting for dry living spaces. Within the Murané R range it is the part that joins the pendants to the ceiling, so you choose your pendants and hang them from this one canopy. We think the Brushed Champagne finish works well against white or pale plaster, where it reads as a soft, warm disc rather than a shiny one.

The canopy comes in a Brushed Champagne finish, with 500cm steel cables for the suspension and a 500cm power cable for the supply, so the one part handles both jobs. It is push dimmable, so the pendants it feeds can be dimmed with a compatible dimmer. It runs on mains power and is wired in, and like any mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install.
