Description

The Zarune is a 2.1m linear pendant light built around a single horizontal bar of natural Spanish alabaster, held by a pair of brushed brass drop rods and an oval brushed brass ceiling canopy. An integrated 45W LED runs the length of the alabaster bar, casting warm 3000K light through the stone so the fitting itself becomes the diffuser rather than producing point-source glare.

The 2,100mm length and 150mm height make the Zarune well-suited to longer dining tables, kitchen islands and boardroom settings where a single linear fitting balances the proportion of the surface below. Two brass drop rods locate roughly a third of the way in from each end, giving stable pendant light without breaking the visual line of the bar. The 1,000mm cable drop suits ceiling heights of 2.4m and above, with the rods able to be shortened on installation to set the bar 700-800mm above a table or worktop.

The alabaster bar shows soft tonal marbling and natural mineral veining that becomes pronounced once the LED is switched on, revealing the internal structure of the stone. Brushed brass hardware at the canopy, drop rods and end-cap brackets keeps the metalwork understated against the alabaster, with a satin sheen that softens reflections. The combination produces a horizontal beam of diffused warm light that reads as architectural rather than ornamental, making the fitting work in pared-back contemporary interiors as well as more traditional rooms.

What size table does the Zarune suit?

At 2,100mm long the Zarune works best above dining tables of around 2.2-3m and kitchen islands of similar length. As a guide, the fitting should be slightly shorter than the table itself so the light falls within the table footprint rather than overshooting the ends.

Is the LED replaceable or dimmable?

The 45W LED is integrated into the alabaster bar and is not user-replaceable. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model used, so please contact us before pairing the Zarune with a dimming circuit to confirm.

How is it suspended and can the drop be adjusted?

The bar hangs from two brushed brass rods fixed to an oval brushed brass canopy. The 1,000mm cable length sets the standard drop, and the rods can be shortened on installation by a qualified electrician to set the bar at the height needed above a table or worktop.

Will each alabaster bar look the same?

No. The bar is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. This natural variation is most visible once the LED is switched on and is a feature of the material rather than a defect.
