Description

The Bronx 300 is a recessed LED profile in a white finish: a long, slim channel that sits within the surface it is fitted into, with the light set back inside it behind a frosted cover. It is 301cm long, its section measures 8.3cm by 4.5cm by 2.8cm, and its body measures 4.9cm. The cut-out it needs is 301.5cm long and 5cm wide. The profile is the housing rather than the light itself: the glow comes from Bronx LED modules, sold separately, which fit inside it and give a clean line of light.

Because the light sits back within the profile, it suits places where you want a crisp line rather than a row of spots: along a hallway or landing, in a living room or bedroom, over a desk in a study, or through an office or shop. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry rooms only. It belongs to the Bronx system and works only as part of it. It needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which takes the mains supply and turns it into the 24V DC the modules run on. The rest of the Bronx system, each part sold separately, completes the installation, so it is worth planning the run as a whole before you order.

The white finish lets the profile settle into a pale surface, so when the light is off you see little more than a neat white line. It runs at 24V DC and is Class III, taking its power from the mains through that driver, and it is wired in by a qualified electrician.
