Description

The Bug Halo is a compact recessed LED downlight: a round fitting with a deep reflector in a Brushed Bronze finish that sets the light well back inside it. It measures 7.5cm across and 4cm in height, a small, neat size for a ceiling. We offer it with a choice of light source: a lampholder version, with the bulb not included, or integrated LED in 2700K or 3000K, each with a 24° or 36° beam. The integrated LED versions draw 5W and give 700 lumens with a CRI of 90, so colours and skin tones look true, and they need no bulb at all.

A downlight this size suits kitchens, hallways, living rooms and the space above a dining table, where several spaced out give even, unfussy light. Choose the 24° beam for a tighter pool that picks out a worktop, a picture or a shelf, or the 36° beam for a softer, broader spread across the room. The 2700K versions give a warm, homely white for living rooms and bedrooms, while the 3000K versions give a slightly crisper warm white that suits kitchens and places where you work or read. The bronze tone of the reflector looks quietly rich against a plain white ceiling.

It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician. It is a Class II fitting, and it is for indoor use. The Brushed Bronze shows on the reflector inside the fitting, so it is the colour you see when you look up, with a fine brushed grain that catches the light softly. When you order, choose the beam and colour temperature to suit each room, or the lampholder version if you would rather pick your own bulb, remembering that the bulb is not included.
