Description

The Round is a white ceiling canopy for hanging a cluster of up to 12 pendants from one plate on the ceiling. It is a flat, circular plate 70cm across and only 3.9cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling and reads as a clean white disc. Twelve small cable outlets are spread across its face, one for each pendant. The canopy gives no light of its own. Instead, the pendants hung from it take their mains supply through it. Those pendants are each sold separately, so you choose the shades, the drops and how many of the twelve outlets to fill.

A canopy this size is made for the places where one pendant would look lost: over a long dining table, down the well of a staircase, in a double-height hallway or above a seating area in a hotel lobby or restaurant. Hang all twelve pendants at one height for a level field of light, or stagger the drops into a loose cascade that fills a tall void. The white finish keeps the canopy quiet against a white or pale ceiling, so the eye goes to the pendants. It carries no IP rating, so it is for dry indoor rooms only, and the pendants you hang from it set the character of the light.
