Description

The Bronx 300 is a recessed LED profile in a black finish. It is a long, slim channel that sits flush in a wall or ceiling and draws a clean line of light across it. It comes in one length of 301cm, and its body measures 4.9cm. To fit it, your installer makes a cut-out 301.5cm long and 5cm wide, so the profile sits in the surface with only the line of light and its black edge on view. It is a profile rather than a complete light: Bronx LED modules, sold separately, fit inside it and give the light.

We see it in hallways, corridors and landings. It can frame a doorway, run up the edge of a wall or sit in a ceiling to wash light down a passage. It suits living rooms, studies and bedrooms, wherever you want light built into the room rather than hung from it. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. It runs on mains power, wired in by an electrician, through a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which turns the mains supply into the 24V DC the profile runs on. The rest of the Bronx system, each part sold separately, completes the installation.

It is a Class III fitting, which means it runs from the 24V DC its driver supplies rather than straight from the mains. The black finish keeps the edge of the channel crisp against a pale wall and quiet against a darker one, so what you notice is the line of light itself, not the fitting around it. Because it is recessed, it takes up no room and has nothing to knock. On the practical side, plan the cut-out and the position of the driver with your electrician early, while walls and ceilings are still being built, since the profile is set into the surface rather than fixed on top of it.
