Description

The Murané is a small glass sphere light for a wall or a ceiling: an Amber glass globe 10cm across, set against a conical mount in a Brushed Champagne finish. The glass has a rippled, dimpled surface, so the light catches in its folds and throws soft, warm patterns onto the surrounding wall or ceiling. It projects 13.2cm once fitted, which keeps it neat in a narrow hallway or beside a doorway. Inside is a 4W integrated LED giving 167lm of warm white light at 2700K, with a CRI of 90, so colours in the room look natural and true. An integrated LED means there is no bulb to buy or replace.

Because it is so compact, the Murané works best as a gentle accent rather than a main light: one at each side of a bed, a pair flanking a fireplace, or a row along a landing or corridor. On a ceiling it suits a walk-in wardrobe, a reading nook or a small stairwell. At 167lm it gives a soft glow rather than a bright working light, so pair it with a stronger source where you read or work. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.
