Description

The Bug Halo is a small round downlight that sits recessed into the ceiling, so the light seems to come from within a deep, softly gleaming reflector rather than from a visible fitting. This one is in Brushed Titanium, a cool grey-silver with a fine brushed grain that catches the light gently inside the bowl. It is 7.5cm across and 4cm tall. It comes with a choice of light source: a lampholder version (bulb not included), or integrated LED at 2700K with a 24° beam, 2700K with a 36° beam, 3000K with a 24° beam or 3000K with a 36° beam. The integrated LED versions need no bulb; they draw 5W, give 700 lumens and have a CRI of 90, so colours look true and natural.

We would choose it wherever you want light placed with care and the fitting itself kept quiet: over a kitchen worktop or island, or picking out a picture on a wall, a shelf or a display. The narrower 24° beam pools light on one object or surface; the wider 36° beam spreads a little further, for general light along a counter or a run of cupboards. Choose 2700K for a warmer, homely glow, or 3000K for a slightly crisper warm white. Set several in a row and they give an even, calm wash, and at 7.5cm across they keep a ceiling looking uncluttered.
