Description

The Adastra IWA415B is an in-wall amplifier built for background music and public address in small to medium spaces. It fits into cavity walls and ceilings, so there's no need for a table-top or cabinet position. The minimalist housing keeps the installation tidy, and the amplifier can be paired with many different speaker types to suit the room you're working with. Deploy several units across a site and you can cover a wide area from a single, consistent setup.

This is a four-channel Class-D amplifier rated at 15W per channel, running cleanly and efficiently with minimal heat. An internal digital switch-mode power section lets you connect directly to the local mains, and it's supplied with a C7 (figure 8) to UK power lead. For audio, you get Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless streaming from a phone or other enabled device, a 3.5mm stereo aux input, and an optical digital audio input, which makes it straightforward to bring into an A-V system. A 3.5mm stereo output is included too.

Each Bluetooth module has a unique serial ID, so you can tell units apart when several are running in the same building. A Bluetooth on/off defeat switch lets you disable wireless input where it isn't wanted, and an onboard master volume control handles level. The amplifier works with speakers down to a minimum impedance of 4 Ohms per output, and the whole unit weighs just 150g. Power input covers 100-240Vac at 50/60Hz, giving you flexibility across different mains supplies.
