Description

The Adastra IWA215B is an in-wall stereo amplifier built for background music and public address in small to medium spaces. It fits into cavity walls and ceilings, so there's no need to find room for a table-top or cabinet unit. The Class-D design runs cleanly and efficiently with minimal heat, and an internal digital switch-mode power section lets you connect it straight to the local mains supply using the supplied C7 to UK power lead (a fig.8 connector).

Wireless streaming comes from Bluetooth 5.0, so you can play audio from a phone or other enabled device. Each unit carries a unique Bluetooth serial ID and a Bluetooth on/off defeat switch, which helps when you have several amplifiers in the same building. Wired sources are covered too, with a 3.5mm stereo Aux input and output (called a 3.5mm jack in the US) plus an optical digital audio input for tying into A-V systems. An onboard master volume control sits on the unit itself.

Rated at 2 x 15W with a minimum impedance of 4 Ohms per output, the IWA215B works with many different speaker types to suit the room. Because the housing is compact and the whole unit weighs just 150g, it stays out of sight once installed. Use a single amplifier for one space, or deploy several across a site to build a wide area sound system. The universal 100-240Vac, 50/60Hz power supply makes it straightforward to fit wherever you need audio.
