Description

The Adastra A8300 is a commercial mixer-amplifier built to drive eight stereo output zones at 300W each. Every zone has switchable stereo or dual mono speaker outputs, so you can run a true stereo pair or split the zone into two mono lines depending on the room. Each output carries its own 2-band EQ with Bass, Treble and Master Volume, giving you independent control over the sound in each area from background music up to higher sound pressure levels.

Source options are broad. Each speaker output can take its audio from the internal media player or from three external stereo line inputs, plus a digital optical input (TOSLink S/PDIF) for AV applications. The built-in player handles mp3 playback from USB drive or microSD card, and includes a Bluetooth wireless receiver and an FM radio tuner with an external aerial (US: antenna) connection via an F-type socket. Two microphone inputs each have their own level control and can be set to override the line input for voice announcements across the system.

For installed and commercial use, the A8300 fits a 2U rack and puts its controls on an accessible front panel. Amplification is Class D with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz (±0.5dB), dynamic range of 92dB and THD+N below 0.1%. Emergency muting can be triggered from an alarm panel through the 24V EMG MUTE contacts on the rear. Protection covers thermal, over-current, over-voltage and short-circuit conditions. It runs from a 230Vac mains supply and suits a range of system layouts across different sized installations.
