Description
The Adastra A22 is a digital stereo PA amplifier with an integral media player, all housed in a compact case. The Class-D amplifier section delivers up to 2 x 55W max. output, which suits background music duties well, and there's a dedicated microphone input for announcements or alerts. A separate volume control for the mic means you can talk over the music without fuss, and the tone controls cover treble and bass alongside the main music volume.
For sources, the media player lets you pick between a USB or microSD MP3 player, an FM tuner, a Bluetooth receiver and three line inputs. Two of those are stereo RCA connections on the rear panel, with a third line input as a 3.5mm aux socket on the front. Playback runs from the front panel or the supplied I.R. remote control (infrared), so you can adjust things from across the room. The FM tuner uses an F-type aerial (antenna) connection on the rear.
Four mounting brackets are included, so two A22 units can sit side by side in a 1U rack space. That makes it a sensible choice for smaller peripheral zones within a larger PA installation. Pair it with two or four speakers for a space-saving sound system that stays straightforward to run. The unit measures 215 x 180 x 43mm and weighs 820g, running from a 230Vac supply. A UK to C13 power lead is supplied in the box.
