Description

The Lowe is a 36cm cast aluminium decorative bowl with an organic leaf-form profile and an ombre finish transitioning from deep bronze on the outer surfaces to gold on the inner bowl. The bowl is cast in a single piece, with ruffled edges and natural undulations that mimic a large dried leaf, then hand-finished to create the two-tone metallic effect.

Designed for console tables, coffee tables, sideboards and open shelving, the Lowe functions as a catchall for keys and small items in entrance halls or as a purely decorative accent piece in living rooms and bedrooms. The shallow 10.6cm depth and 36cm width suit narrow console tables and mantelpieces where taller decorative objects would overwhelm the available space. The bowl is for decorative use only and is not food-safe or water-safe.

Each bowl is handcrafted by casting molten aluminium into a mould, then finishing the surface by hand, which means the exact position of the bronze-to-gold transition and the intensity of the patina vary between individual pieces. The aluminium construction keeps the weight at 0.95kg, making the bowl easy to reposition without needing two hands or concern about scratching furniture surfaces. The ombre finish pairs well with warm metallics, dark wood furniture and neutral-toned interiors.

How is the bowl cleaned?

Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but dry the surface immediately to prevent water spots on the metallic finish. Do not use abrasive cleaners, polishes or chemical sprays.
