The Harriet Gingham duvet cover set brings together two things a lot of gingham bedding leaves separate: the softness of a smooth cotton and the texture of a seersucker weave. The face is a printed seersucker in a tonal check, dusky rose crossed with a deeper brown, so the pattern has a gentle puckered relief you can feel as well as see. Turn it over and the reverse is smooth and flat. It is made from 100% cotton throughout, garment washed before it reaches you, which is why it arrives already soft rather than needing a few washes to relax. The set runs from single through double and king to super king.

This is bedding for a room you actually live in rather than one kept for show. The rose-and-chocolate check sits happily against warm neutral walls, greens and natural wood, and the muted tones mean it reads as calm rather than busy. Because it is reversible, you can flip the smooth cotton reverse uppermost when you want a plainer look, or keep the textured gingham on top.
