Description
The Ramses is a 95cm-diameter eight-light chandelier built around eight diabolo-shaped white metal shades arranged on a brushed brass radial frame. Each shade flares outward at top and bottom from a central brass collar, with the bulb seated inside the lower cone. The fitting takes eight E14 golf-ball lamps (sold separately) and suspends from a single brass drop rod connected to a circular ceiling canopy.
At 95cm across with a 55cm shade height, the Ramses is sized for larger rooms: dining tables of 1.6m or longer, open-plan kitchen-diners, double-height entrance halls, and reception spaces. The 150cm cable allows the chandelier to be hung at typical dining-table height in rooms with 2.6-3.5m ceilings, and the drop can be shortened during installation for lower ceilings or longer for vaulted spaces.
The shades are finished in matt white on the outside with a contrasting interior that reflects warm tones from the bulbs back through the open ends, giving each shade a soft glow at top and bottom rather than a single downward beam. The brushed brass frame, central hub and shade collars provide a warm metallic counterpoint to the white shades, drawing on mid-century Italian diabolo lighting design without copying any single archetype.
The metal frame and shades give the fitting a substantial presence suited to rooms where a smaller pendant would look lost. The radial arms hold each shade slightly tilted, so the eight lamps cast light in overlapping pools across a wide footprint rather than concentrating it directly below the canopy.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Ramses take?
The chandelier takes eight E14 (small Edison screw) lamps, commonly sold as E14 golf-ball bulbs. Bulbs are not included. Most buyers pair the fitting with warm-white LED E14 lamps between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to complement the brushed brass frame.
What size room does it suit?
At 95cm in diameter, the Ramses is sized for larger rooms. It works well over dining tables of 1.6m or longer, in open-plan kitchen-diners, large living rooms, and entrance halls. In rooms smaller than around 4m x 4m the chandelier is likely to feel oversized.
Can the drop be shortened?
Yes. The 150cm cable and brass rod can be shortened during installation by a qualified electrician to suit lower ceiling heights. For dining-table installation the chandelier typically hangs 75-90cm above the table surface.
Is it dimmable?
The chandelier itself has no integrated driver, so dimmability depends entirely on the E14 bulbs fitted. If you want dimming, choose dimmable E14 LED lamps and a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer switch.
