Description

The Ramses is a 3-light chandelier built around three white metal double-cone shades, each held by a brushed brass collar and arm and finished with a polished brass interior that warms the downward light. The fixture measures 65cm in diameter and 55cm in height, with three E27 lamp holders (bulbs sold separately) and a 150cm cable for ceiling drop adjustment on installation.

The double-cone shade profile is a mid-century Italian silhouette: a tall upper cone tapering into a brass waist, then flaring back out into a lower cone that directs light onto the surface below. On the Ramses only the lower cone is open and lit, casting a focused pool of light through a brass-lined interior. This makes it well suited to dining tables, kitchen islands and breakfast bars 1.2-1.6m wide, where directed task light is wanted alongside a sculptural ceiling fitting.

The frame is metal throughout, with a matt white powder-coated finish on the shades and a warm brushed brass tone on the central hub, arms and shade collars. The two outer arms are fixed at angled offsets from the central drop, giving the fitting a triangular footprint when viewed from below rather than a flat in-line arrangement. The 2-year warranty covers manufacturing defects.

What bulbs does the Ramses take?

The chandelier takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. A warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K suits dining and kitchen settings; the brass-lined shade interior will reflect the chosen colour temperature, so warmer bulbs give a warmer downward pool of light.

What size table or island does it suit?

At 65cm in diameter the Ramses pairs well with dining tables and kitchen islands roughly 1.2-1.6m wide. The shades direct light downward, so it works best hung 700-800mm above a table or 800-900mm above a worktop.

Can the drop be shortened?

Yes. The cable length is 150cm and can be shortened on installation by a qualified electrician to suit lower ceiling heights, while still leaving enough cable to clear the table or worktop below.

Is it dimmable?

The fixture itself has no integrated electronics, so dimming depends entirely on the bulbs fitted. Pair with dimmable LED E27 bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer switch for adjustable output.
