Description

The Mireya is a 150cm linear chandelier built from thousands of fine brass chains finished in matt black, draped from a sculpted metal frame and lit from within by eight E14 LED lamps. The chains hang in irregular swags and tapered points along the underside, forming a continuous fringed veil around 73cm tall. The fitting suspends from two decorative diamond-link chains rather than a single central rod, giving balance across its long axis.

This is a piece sized for large rooms with high ceilings: oversized dining tables, kitchen islands of 2m or more, double-height stairwells and open-plan living areas where the 1.5m length can sit centred without crowding adjacent fittings. The eight internal lamps cast light downward and outward through the chain veil, producing soft pooled illumination on the surface below alongside the glint of light catching individual chain links.

The structure carries genuine weight at 34kg, so installation requires a ceiling capable of supporting the full load with appropriate fixings, typically a structural joist or a dedicated bracket rather than a standard ceiling rose alone. The brass chains are dense enough to read as a solid draped form from across the room, while close inspection reveals the individual links and the layered depth of the veil. The matt black finish reads as graphite under warm light and near-charcoal under cooler light.

Frequently Asked

What size room and table does the Mireya suit?

At 150cm long and 73cm tall, the Mireya is sized for dining tables of roughly 2-3m in length, kitchen islands of 2m or more, or large open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.7m and above. In rooms below 2.6m the chain skirt can feel low over circulation areas.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes 8 x E14 small Edison screw lamps at 6W LED each. The Specification tab confirms the bulb specification supplied with this product.

How is something this heavy installed?

The Mireya weighs 34kg, so the ceiling fixing must support the full load. This typically means fixing into a structural joist, an engineered ceiling beam, or a dedicated metal bracket spanning two joists. A standard plasterboard ceiling rose is not sufficient. Installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.

Is the chain veil fragile or prone to tangling?

The brass chains are robust and will not tangle in normal use, but they should be handled gently during installation and dusted with a soft brush or low-suction vacuum attachment rather than pulled or wiped with a cloth.
