Description

The Valora is a 19-light tiered chandelier built around a nickel-finished metal frame draped with vertical curtains of fine brass chain. Eighteen E14 lamps sit within the upper and middle tiers, with a central GU10 reflector adding directional output through the core. The fitting measures 80cm in diameter, drops 115cm from the ceiling rose and weighs 40kg, making it a substantial sculptural fixture rather than a simple ambient pendant.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, grand stairwells, atriums and tall hotel or restaurant spaces, the Valora needs ceiling heights of 4m or more to give the tiered silhouette room to read properly. The 150cm cable can be shortened on installation to position the fitting at the correct level for the space, typically with the lowest chain tips finishing 2.4-2.6m above the floor or stairwell mid-landing.

Each tier is formed from cut sheet-metal panels with a polished nickel edge, backed by densely packed brass chain strands that fall in rhythmic vertical drapes. The chains catch and refract light from the internal lamps, producing a textured, slightly shimmering veil effect when lit. The polished nickel edges give defined silhouettes against the softer chain texture, and the layered tiering means the fitting reads as three-dimensional from every viewing angle, including from below on a stairwell.

The 230-240V mains supply runs the 18 x 4W E14 bulbs and the 5W GU10 in parallel, drawing approximately 77W in total when fully lit. The chandelier ships with the bulbs included and carries a 2-year warranty.

What ceiling height does the Valora need?

The chandelier drops 115cm from the ceiling rose with a further 150cm of cable that can be shortened on installation. It's designed for ceilings of 4m or more, such as double-height halls, stairwell voids and atriums, where the tiered silhouette has room to read properly.

Are bulbs included?

Yes. The Valora ships with 18 x 4W E14 bulbs and 1 x 5W GU10 LED. Total combined load is approximately 77W on a 230-240V mains supply.

How is it installed given the 40kg weight?

At 40kg the Valora must be mounted to a structural ceiling fixing rated for the load, not to plasterboard alone. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, who will also assess the joist or steelwork above the ceiling and use an appropriate fixing kit and ceiling rose.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs fitted and the dimmer in use. The supplied E14 and GU10 LEDs need to be confirmed as dimmable for a given dimmer model before installation. Please contact us before pairing with a specific dimmer to confirm compatibility.
