Description

The Amara is a 120cm linear chandelier built around a slim, leaf-shaped polished chrome frame filled with a dense cluster of faceted K9 crystal pieces. An integrated 3000K LED runs along the chrome spine, lighting the crystal lattice from above so the light scatters through the cut glass rather than radiating from a single visible source. The fitting hangs from twin steel suspension cables on an elongated chrome canopy.

The long, narrow profile suits installation above kitchen islands, rectangular dining tables and console runs where a circular chandelier would feel out of proportion. The 150cm cable length allows the chandelier to be set 700-800mm above a worktop or dining surface, with shortening on installation to suit ceiling height. The twin-cable suspension keeps the fitting level along its full 1.2m span and routes the mains feed neatly through one of the cables.

The K9 crystal pieces are arranged in irregular, free-form clusters rather than uniform droplets, giving the lit fitting a textured, frost-like surface that catches light at multiple angles. The polished chrome frame and canopy keep the visible metalwork minimal, so the crystal does most of the visual work. At 20cm tall and 120cm wide the Amara reads as a horizontal sculpture, with the chrome reflecting both the LED output and ambient daylight from the room.

K9 is a high-grade optical crystal glass with high clarity and a high refractive index, commonly used in decorative lighting because it disperses light cleanly across the visible spectrum. It produces brighter sparkle and sharper colour separation than standard pressed glass.

Is the LED replaceable or integrated?

The Amara uses an integrated LED running along the chrome spine, so there are no separate bulbs to fit or replace. The colour temperature is fixed at 3000K (warm white).

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 150cm suspension cables can be shortened on installation. For a kitchen island or dining table the fitting typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works comfortably in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch the fitting off and allow it to cool. Dust the crystal cluster with a soft, dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used on individual crystal sections, but avoid spraying liquid directly onto the fitting or wetting the LED housing.
