Varo 6 Light Crystal Chandelier - Chrome

The Varo is a 52cm crystal chandelier with six G9 bulb fittings set within a polished chrome circular frame. Precision-cut crystal strands hang in radial tiers from the chrome structure, forming a shallow domed silhouette 21cm deep. The crystals are arranged in vertical sections around the circumference, leaving gaps between each section so light passes through and reflects off the faceted surfaces.

Designed for dining rooms, hallways and living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Varo sits centrally above round or square dining tables up to 1.8m across. The 52cm diameter provides sufficient visual presence without dominating smaller dining areas. The suspension cables are adjustable during installation, allowing the fitting to be raised or lowered depending on ceiling height and table position. The chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.

Each crystal strand catches and redirects light from the six G9 bulbs (sold separately, max 33W per bulb), creating reflected patterns on walls and ceilings when lit. The polished chrome finish gives high reflectivity, amplifying the brightness produced by the bulbs. The combined weight of the chrome frame and crystal tiers is 4.1kg, requiring secure ceiling fixings in plasterboard or solid ceilings. The open structure between the crystal sections prevents the fitting from appearing overly dense or blocking sightlines across a dining table.

What bulbs does the Varo take?

The fitting takes six G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum rating of 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining light.

Is the Varo dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. Dimmable G9 LED bulbs are widely available and will work with most trailing-edge dimmers. Check the bulb packaging confirms dimmer compatibility before pairing with a dimmer switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 21cm height of the fitting itself is shallow, but the suspension cables add variable drop. For a dining table, the fitting typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The cables are adjustable during installation.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal strand gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome frame or allowing water to enter the bulb sockets.
