Description

The Knightsbridge BL12ALEDS is a 305mm circular LED bulkhead with an integrated PIR motion sensor, delivering 1300lm of cool white 4000K light from a non-dimmable 14W SMD LED array. The IP54-rated polycarbonate housing protects against dust ingress and water splashes, making it suitable for semi-exposed outdoor locations, covered porches, carports, and internal corridors where moisture and dust are present.

The PIR sensor automatically activates the light when motion is detected within its range, reducing energy consumption in areas where constant illumination is not needed. This makes the bulkhead well-suited to residential entryways, shared hallways in flats, rear garden access routes, garage entries, and commercial back-of-house corridors. The surface-mount design fixes directly to flat surfaces without requiring recessing, and the Class II double-insulated construction does not require an earth connection.

The white polycarbonate body and diffuser resist impact and UV degradation better than acrylic alternatives, and the sealed construction prevents insects entering the light chamber. At 84mm projection from the wall or ceiling, the bulkhead sits low-profile while the 110° beam angle provides wide coverage. The 30,000-hour L70B50 rating indicates the LED will maintain at least 70% of its initial 1620lm output after 30,000 hours of operation, equivalent to approximately 10 years at 8 hours per day.
