Description

The Utah is a rectangular outdoor wall light with a graphite powder-coated aluminium body and a frosted white polycarbonate diffuser. The single E27 fitting inside casts light both upward and downward through open top and bottom apertures, creating two wash patterns on the wall surface above and below the fitting.

Rated IP65 for protection against water jets and dust ingress, the Utah suits outdoor installation on house facades, garden walls, porches and garage entrances exposed to rain and general UK weather. The up/down light distribution highlights wall texture and architectural detail while providing ambient visibility around doorways and paths. The 250mm width and 110mm projection make the fitting suitable for brick, render and stone walls where a compact fitting is preferred over larger lantern-style wall lights.

The graphite finish is a near-black powder coat applied to the aluminium body, providing corrosion resistance and a consistent tone that complements anthracite windows, dark render, and charcoal-toned cladding. The frosted diffuser softens the light output and prevents direct glare when walking past the fitting at night. The E27 socket accepts standard LED bulbs (sold separately), allowing choice of colour temperature and wattage.

The 250mm width and 110mm projection keep the fitting close to brick, render and stone without crowding a doorway. Warm-white lamps around 2700K to 3000K suit the frosted diffuser for a soft glow along paths and entrances. The 2 year warranty covers the aluminium body against manufacturing faults, and the graphite powder coat resists corrosion in exposed positions where the fitting faces regular weather and moisture.

IP65 means the fitting is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand water jets from any direction. This makes the Utah suitable for exposed outdoor positions including walls facing prevailing rain, under open soffits, and on facades without shelter.

What bulb does it take?

The Utah takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. We suggest fitting a 6-10W LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for outdoor ambient lighting. The fitting does not support dimming, so choose a fixed-output LED.

How is the up/down effect created?

The frosted diffuser sits inside the rectangular body with open apertures at the top and bottom. Light from the E27 bulb passes through the diffuser and exits both ends, creating two wash patterns on the wall above and below the fitting.

Can it be installed on a rendered wall?

Yes. The back plate fixes to the wall with screws and plugs suitable for brick, block, render or stone. The 110mm projection clears most render thicknesses, and the 1kg weight does not require special fixings on standard masonry.
