Description

Cast concrete in a plain white finish, this is a compact rectangular block that sits tight to the wall and takes two GU10 lamps. At 180mm tall it stays modest, reading as a quiet marker beside a door rather than something you look at first. The surface is matt, with the faint grain of the material still visible, so it sits well against brick, render and timber cladding alike. It is rated for outdoor use, and dimmable lamps on a compatible dimmer will bring the level down after dark.

This is the fitting we reach for on porches, garage walls, side passages and small courtyards, where a lantern would be too fussy and too large. It suits a modern house or a recently landscaped garden, and looks right on clean render or sawn stone. Lamps up to 12W each are ample for a doorway. A narrow reflector gives tight pools of light on the ground, while a wider one washes the wall itself, and we keep both in stock so the beam can be changed later without changing the fitting.

Concrete makes for a solid, honest body with real weight to it, and the white finish is part of the material rather than a coat laid over the top. Keep it clean by brushing off cobwebs and garden dust, then wiping with a cloth and a little clean water; leave abrasive pastes and solvent cleaners well alone, as they will scuff the surface. It carries a two year warranty. Within the range we also stock a round version, both shapes in grey concrete, and smaller spotlights for planting and low level light. Lamps are not included.
