Surface track fixes directly to the ceiling and is the simpler route for most rooms. Recessed magnetic track sets into the plasterboard for a flush look, with connectors and covers matched to a 12.5mm board. Matching parts

Keep voltage, phase and profile consistent across a single run. A 48V magnetic system needs its own feeds and connectors, and surface and recessed parts are not interchangeable.
