Description

The Viora is a 1m magnetic linear track in matt black extruded aluminium, designed to accept magnetic track spotlight modules that clip onto the internal rail and can be repositioned without tools. The track can be surface-mounted on a ceiling or recessed into plasterboard, offering two installation approaches within the same housing. At 19mm projection when surface-mounted, the track sits almost flush with the ceiling plane.

Designed for residential kitchens, home offices, retail displays and hospitality lighting, the Viora allows spotlights to be moved along the 1m length and repositioned as room layouts or merchandise arrangements change. The magnetic connection means each spotlight clips on and off without rewiring, giving flexibility to add, remove or reposition lights over time. The track accepts standard Viora magnetic spotlights (sold separately), typically available in 10W and 15W LED versions with adjustable beam angles.

The matt black finish on the aluminium housing absorbs ceiling reflections and integrates into contemporary interiors without the gloss of polished or powder-coated finishes. The track carries an IP20 rating, restricting use to dry indoor environments. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific magnetic spotlight modules used — most Viora LED spotlights are dimmable with compatible LED dimmers. The 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covers the track housing and magnetic rail; spotlight modules carry separate warranties.

Can this track be recessed or surface-mounted?

Yes. The Viora housing is designed for both installation methods. For recessed mounting it fits into a plasterboard cutout and sits flush with the ceiling. For surface mounting it fixes directly to the ceiling with a 19mm projection.

Do spotlights come with the track?

No. The track is sold separately from the magnetic spotlight modules. Viora magnetic spotlights are available separately at Niori in 10W and 15W versions with various beam angles and finishes.

How many spotlights can the 1m track hold?

This depends on the wattage and size of the spotlight modules used. Most installations fit between 3 and 5 spotlights on a 1m track, spaced 200-300mm apart. Check the total wattage capacity in the track specification before loading.

Is the track dimmable?

Dimming depends on the spotlight modules used. Most Viora LED magnetic spotlights are dimmable when paired with compatible LED dimmers. The track itself is passive and does not control dimming — dimmer compatibility is determined by the spotlight driver.
