Description

The Glacia is a 1200mm rectangular track canopy in silver metal, designed to mount six individual pendant lights from a single ceiling point. The canopy provides six evenly-spaced outlet points along its length, allowing pendants to be suspended at regular intervals rather than clustered around a central rose. The silver finish is a brushed aluminium effect that softens reflections under daylight.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan zones where linear pendant arrangements are needed, the Glacia suits spaces with run lengths of 1.2-2m. Each outlet accepts a standard UK pendant suspension, with the cable run concealed inside the 35mm-deep canopy housing. The canopy mounts flush to the ceiling with fixing points at each end, and the internal wiring connects all six outlets to a single mains feed point.

The 1200mm length works over tables seating four to six, or along single-run kitchen islands up to 2m in length. The silver finish pairs with chrome, brushed nickel and stainless steel pendant fittings, and provides neutral contrast against darker pendants in matt black, brass or copper. The metal construction carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

The canopy accepts any standard UK pendant light with a ceiling rose suspension. The six outlet points are evenly spaced along the 1200mm length, so pendants with drops of 800mm or longer work best to avoid the suspension cables looking cramped.

How is the canopy installed?

The canopy mounts to the ceiling with fixing points at each end, with a single mains feed point inside the housing. A qualified electrician connects the mains supply to the internal wiring, which then distributes power to all six outlet points. The 35mm projection sits flush to the ceiling once fitted.
