Description

The Luxeon-2 recessed track end cap is a white metal termination piece that closes off the end of Ideal Lux Luxeon-2 recessed track runs while housing the electrical connection point. The cap measures 38mm in length with a 17mm projection from the ceiling plane, sitting flush with the recessed track profile to maintain a continuous ceiling line.

Used at the powered end of a recessed track installation, the end cap conceals the mains connection behind the ceiling surface while providing a sealed termination for the track channel. The white powder-coated metal finish matches the Luxeon-2 recessed track body, creating a consistent appearance along the track run. Installation involves connecting the mains supply to the terminals inside the cap, then clipping the cap onto the track end before ceiling finishing.

The metal housing provides structural support for the track end and protects the electrical connection from dust and contact. The 17mm projection is designed to align with the Luxeon-2 recessed track depth, so the cap sits level with the track aperture once the ceiling is patched around the installation. The white finish works in ceilings finished in white or light neutral tones, keeping the track hardware visually recessive.

This is a powered end cap with integrated terminals for mains connection. If you need to close off the unpowered end of a track run, a separate dead-end cap is required.

Does it work with other recessed track systems?

The Luxeon-2 end cap is designed specifically for Ideal Lux Luxeon-2 recessed track. It will not fit other manufacturers' recessed track profiles due to dimensional and clip-mount differences.

What electrical connection does it accept?

The cap houses screw terminals for connecting mains supply cables. Exact terminal specifications and wiring instructions are provided with the component. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.

Can it be painted to match a coloured ceiling?

The powder-coated metal surface can be overpainted with ceiling paint after installation if needed to match a non-white ceiling finish. Ensure the paint is fully dry before energising the track.
