Description

The Luxeon-2 recessed trim end power cap is a black metal component that closes off and powers the end of a recessed Luxeon-2 track lighting run. At 38mm long and 17mm projection from the ceiling plane, the cap sits flush with the recessed channel edge, providing both electrical connection and a clean visual terminus for the track.

Used in residential, retail and hospitality installations where track lighting is recessed into plasterboard or suspended ceilings, the end power cap allows mains feed to enter the track at the terminal point rather than requiring a mid-run feed. This is useful in linear runs along walls or ceiling perimeters where the power source is located at one end. The cap locks into the Luxeon-2 track profile and must be paired with compatible Luxeon-2 recessed track sections.

The black powder-coated metal finish matches the standard Luxeon-2 recessed track body, making the end cap visually recede into the ceiling line when viewed from below. The cap covers live terminations inside the track channel, meeting UK wiring regulations for concealed track systems. Ideal Lux manufactures the Luxeon-2 range in Italy and provides a 5-year warranty on the metal components.

Frequently Asked

Is this compatible with surface-mounted track?

No. This end cap is designed specifically for the Luxeon-2 recessed trim system and will not fit surface-mounted track profiles. The recessed system sits flush with the ceiling plane, whereas surface track projects below the ceiling.

Does this cap allow power feed into the track?

Yes. This is an end power cap, meaning it provides both the electrical termination for mains feed and the physical end cap for the track run. Mains cable is connected inside the cap before it's fitted to the track.

Can it be used at both ends of a track run?

Typically one end uses the power cap (where mains feed enters) and the other end uses a standard non-powered end cap. Using a power cap at both ends would only be necessary if feeding two separate track runs from opposite ends.
