Description

The Viora is a 1m recessed magnetic track light built from extruded aluminium with a matt black powder-coated finish. The track mounts flush into the ceiling, leaving a 50mm-deep channel visible from below with circular apertures spaced along its length. These apertures accept magnetic spotlight modules (sold separately) that click into position along the track and can be repositioned without tools.

Designed for accent and display lighting in retail spaces, galleries, kitchens and residential living areas, the Viora allows light positions to be changed as room layouts or focal points shift. The magnetic modules attach via steel plates embedded in the track, holding securely under their own weight but releasing with a gentle pull. Each module can be angled within its aperture to direct light onto artwork, shelving, countertops or architectural features. The track runs on low-voltage DC, fed from a driver housed in the ceiling void above the track.

The matt black finish sits flush with the ceiling plane, minimising visual intrusion when the track is viewed from an angle. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor use only. Track sections can be joined end-to-end using connector accessories to create continuous runs longer than 1m. The dimmable function depends on pairing the track driver with a compatible dimmer switch — the track itself carries the dimming signal to all attached modules simultaneously.

Are spotlight modules included?

No. The Viora track is sold as the recessed channel only. Magnetic spotlight modules are purchased separately, allowing you to choose the number of lights, beam angles and colour temperatures that suit your space.

Can the track be dimmed?

Yes, but dimming depends on pairing the track's driver with a compatible dimmer switch. The track carries the dimming signal to all attached magnetic modules at once, so all lights on the track dim together.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

The track projects 50mm below the ceiling plane. Above the ceiling you need enough void depth to house the driver unit and allow for safe wiring access — typically 100-150mm clearance depending on the specific driver model used.

Can multiple tracks be joined?

Yes. Viora track sections can be joined end-to-end using connector accessories from Ideal Lux to create continuous runs longer than 1m. Each joined section requires appropriate driver capacity to power all attached modules.
