The Luxeon-1 recessed track end power cap is a 38mm metal component that caps and powers the termination point of Luxeon-1 recessed track lighting systems. The cap sits flush with the recessed track housing, projecting 17mm from the mounting surface to provide both electrical connection and a clean visual finish at the end of the track run.

Designed for commercial retail, hospitality and residential installations where track lighting needs to start or end at a wall or structural boundary, the power cap replaces a standard end cap when the track requires mains power fed from one end rather than a central feed point. The black metal finish matches the Luxeon-1 recessed track body, maintaining a continuous dark line across the ceiling plane.

The metal housing protects the electrical connection point from accidental contact and dust ingress while providing mechanical support for the track rail. Installation involves pushing the cap into the track channel until it clicks into place, then making the mains connection via the terminals inside the cap body. What's the difference between an end power cap and a standard end cap?

A standard end cap simply closes off the end of the track with no electrical function. An end power cap also closes the track but includes terminals inside for feeding mains power into the track from one end, allowing spotlights to be powered without a central feed connector.

Is this compatible with other track systems?

No. The Luxeon-1 end power cap is designed specifically for Ideal Lux Luxeon-1 recessed track systems. It will not fit other manufacturers' tracks or Ideal Lux surface-mount track ranges.

Does it require any tools to install?

Mechanical installation into the track channel requires no tools — the cap pushes into place and clips in. Electrical connection to mains requires a small screwdriver to secure cables to the terminal block inside the cap housing. Installation must comply with Part P Building Regulations and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
