Description

The Luxeon-2 is a 2m recessed magnetic track in matt black aluminium, designed to house and power magnetic track spotlights in a flush-mounted rail system. The track is cut into the ceiling rather than surface-mounted, creating a continuous black line across the ceiling with an 83mm projection depth below ceiling level once installed. The internal magnetic rail carries low-voltage power to compatible spotlights, which clip into position and slide along the track without tools.

Designed for residential living spaces, kitchens, retail environments and galleries where adjustable accent lighting is needed without visible surface-mounted rails, the track accepts any Ideal Lux magnetic spotlight or pendant compatible with the Luxeon system. The 2m length suits larger rooms and open-plan spaces, allowing multiple light sources to be positioned along a single run. The track can be cut to length on site if a shorter run is needed, or multiple tracks can be joined end-to-end using link connectors (sold separately) to create longer continuous runs.

The matt black aluminium extrusion houses the magnetic power rail and diffuses heat from the connected spotlights. The IP20 rating confines use to dry indoor environments, and the track is dimmable when paired with compatible magnetic spotlights and an appropriate dimmer on the circuit. Installation requires a ceiling void of at least 90mm depth to accommodate the track body and electrical connections, and the track is supplied with mounting brackets and a ceiling trim plate to finish the recessed aperture.

Yes. The 2m track can be cut shorter on site using a hacksaw or metal-cutting saw if the full length is not needed. Multiple tracks can also be joined end-to-end using link connectors sold separately.

Is it dimmable?

The track itself carries power and is compatible with dimming when the connected magnetic spotlights support dimming and an appropriate dimmer is fitted to the circuit. Check the specification of the spotlights being used to confirm dimmer compatibility.
