Rattan Storage Boxes and Baskets

Storage boxes and baskets keep everyday clutter in check, giving throws, toys, magazines and odds and ends a tidy home rather than letting them spread across the floor. Many of our rattan baskets come as a set of two in graduated sizes, so the smaller one can sit inside the larger when not in use, or the pair can stand side by side to split belongings between two rooms.

Woven from rattan in a natural finish, the baskets bring a warm, textured look that softens a space and works against both pale and darker walls. The round shape suits a corner of the living room, the foot of a bed or a spot on open shelving, and the natural tone sits happily alongside wooden furniture and woven rugs. Because they are light, they lift and move easily when you are cleaning or rearranging.

In a living room they hold blankets and remotes close to the sofa; in a bedroom they tidy away laundry, spare linen or bits and pieces from a dressing table. The open weave keeps the contents breathable, which helps with anything you would rather not shut away in a sealed box. A quick going-over with a soft brush clears any dust caught in the weave, and the natural finish needs little else to keep it looking good. Free delivery worldwide on all orders over £99.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the storage baskets made from?
The Halong baskets are made from rattan, a natural woven material with a warm tone and visible texture. They come as a set of two circular baskets in a natural finish, so you get a larger and a smaller size that can nest or sit side by side.

What are they best used for?
Open rattan baskets suit soft, dry items such as throws, cushions, toys, magazines and laundry. The natural weave keeps them light to lift and move between rooms. They work on the floor, on a shelf or beside a sofa, and the two sizes let you sort larger and smaller items separately.

How do I clean and look after rattan baskets?
Dust regularly with a soft dry brush or cloth, working into the weave. For marks, wipe gently with a barely damp cloth and let the basket dry fully before use. Keep rattan out of standing water and away from direct heat, which can dry the weave and cause it to crack.
