Description

Marsha is a woven basket made in the shape of a hen, with a pointed beak, two round eyes, a little upright comb, wings at its sides and a tail at the back. It is made from fern and PVC in beige. It measures 21cm long, 12cm wide and 18cm tall, so this is a small basket for a shelf, a worktop or a table rather than one for bulky storage. At 0.06KG it weighs next to nothing, so it moves easily from one spot to the next.

It belongs in the kitchen, on an open shelf, a dresser or a windowsill, where the hen shape adds a touch of farmhouse character. The open bowl takes the small things that otherwise wander about: napkin rings, string and pegs, keys, hair ties or a child's crayons. It also makes a cheerful centrepiece for a spring or Easter table, filled with dried flowers or simply left to stand on its own.
