Description

A wall mounted toilet roll holder, sand cast from stainless steel and finished in antique brass, 17cm across and standing 9cm out from the wall. Two small oval plates take the screws, a slim rail runs between them, and a second bar drops from the left plate and reaches forward to a rounded knob at its open end. The roll slides onto that lower bar and the knob holds it on. Nothing about the casting is straight: the bars are faceted and run slightly uneven along their length.

The holder is 17cm across and 10cm from the top rail down to the lower bar, which takes a standard roll with room to turn. It is lacquered against moisture and steam, so it belongs in a bathroom or a cloakroom rather than only in a dry room. The two plates hold it level on a run of wall, and at 9cm out the paper hangs clear of the plaster rather than dragging against it.

The casting is stainless steel under an antique brass finish. Sand casting comes out irregular, so the surface is left rough and the patination lands in different places on every holder. Olani runs to a towel ring, a bathroom shelf, a set of three hooks and two sizes of hanging rail.

Frequently Asked

How big is it?

17cm across and 10cm tall, standing 9cm out from the wall.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

Yes. It is suitable for bathroom use, and the finish is lacquered against moisture and steam.

What is it made from?

Stainless steel, sand cast and then finished in antique brass.

How does it fix to the wall?

Through two small plates, one at each end, which take the screws.

Will every one look the same?

No. Sand casting leaves a rough surface and the patination falls in different places on each piece.

How should it be looked after?

Wipe it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners away from it, as they will damage the finish.
