Description

The Mahi caddy is a free standing three tier stand in aluminium, 70cm tall, 30cm wide and 15cm deep. Each tier is a shallow open tray with a raised lip on all four sides rather than a flat shelf, so what stands on it is held in. The two side frames carry on above the top tray and finish open, which leaves a short upright either side of it. It stands on four slim legs with a cap on each foot, and the antique brass finish shows the weld seams where the frame meets the trays.

There is approximately 20cm between the inner shelves, which takes a tall pump bottle on the lower tiers, and nothing sits above the top tray so a taller piece can stand there. At 15cm deep and 30cm wide it holds a narrow strip of floor, which suits the gap beside a basin, the end of a bath or the wall next to a towel rail. It is suitable for bathroom use.

The frame is aluminium. Each caddy starts as sheet metal, which is cut to shape, heated and worked by hand, then welded together before the antique brass finish goes on, so the seams and the surface differ from one to the next. The Mahi range also holds a wall shelf with a towel rail and a wall mounted toilet roll holder.
