Fabric Lighting Cable

Braided fabric flex finishes a pendant or bespoke fitting where bare cable would let the look down, with the woven sheath doubling as part of the design. This range comes in 5m and 10m lengths, in black and white with a few in silver and brass, plus a grey version, including 5mm two-core flex for hanging a single bulb or wiring up a run of pendants.

Braided Fabric Lighting Cable

Braided fabric flex finishes a pendant or bespoke fitting where bare cable would let the look down, with the woven sheath forming part of the design rather than something to hide. The cloth covering wraps the flex inside, so the cable reads as part of the fitting whether it hangs from a ceiling rose, drops over a kitchen island or trails along a shelf. It suits anyone wiring up a single bulb on a long drop or running several pendants in a line.

This range is supplied in 5m and 10m lengths, listed on each product, so you can buy to suit the height of the drop and the number of fittings on the run. Colours cover black and white, plus a grey version, giving you a sheath that either sits back against the ceiling or picks up the metal of the holder and shade. The warmer brass tone pairs well with exposed-bulb fittings, while black, white and grey keep things plain where the cable should recede.

5mm flex features for hanging a single bulb or wiring a straightforward pendant, with the diameter noted in the titles where it applies. Because the flex is sold by length, you can cut a clean drop to the exact height you want and avoid the slack that comes with a fixed cable set. It works for a one-off fitting over a table or a repeated run of pendants across a longer space.

Match the length to your drop and the colour to the holder and shade, and check the diameter in the title before you wire up. Free delivery worldwide on all orders over £99.

Frequently Asked Questions

What lengths of fabric lighting cable are available?
The range is supplied in 5m and 10m lengths, with the length shown on each product. Choose the length to suit the height of the drop and how many fittings sit on the run, so you can cut a clean drop without excess slack.

What colours does the fabric flex come in?
Black and white are stocked, plus a grey version. The plainer tones let the cable sit back against the ceiling, while brass picks up the metal of an exposed-bulb holder or shade. The colour is listed on each item.

Can I use this cable for a single pendant?
Yes. 5mm flex is included for hanging a single bulb or wiring a simple pendant, with the diameter noted in the title where it applies. It works equally for a one-off fitting or a row of pendants.

Why choose braided fabric cable over plain flex?
The woven cloth sheath is meant to be seen, forming part of the fitting rather than something to tuck away. It suits exposed drops over tables, islands and shelves where bare cable would spoil the look.

Is the cable sold cut to length or on a reel?
It is sold by length in 5m and 10m options, so you can trim a drop to the exact height you need. Read the length and diameter on the product before wiring up the fitting.
