Cavo Braided Copper Cable 2 Core 0.75mm - White

This is a round two core flex with a white braided outer, made for lamps and light fittings where the cable is part of what you see. The conductors are 0.75mm, the usual size for domestic pendants, table lamps and floor lamps, and the cable is VDE approved. The weave is tight and even and the profile stays slim. Order the length you need and it arrives as a single continuous run rather than a handful of short pieces.

We reach for it when a pendant hangs in open view and grey or brown flex would spoil the look, and it is what we suggest to anyone freshening up an old lamp that still works perfectly well. White sits quietly against pale ceilings, plain plaster and light-painted joinery, so a long drop reads as a clean line rather than a dark stripe. It suits kitchens, bedrooms, hallways and studies equally, and it is a sensible thing to keep a few spare metres of on the shelf for repairs.

The braided sleeve gives the cable a fabric feel and a little more body than a smooth PVC sheath, so it holds a gentle curve well and does not glare under a bare lamp. Keep it clean by running a dry cloth along its length now and then; the woven surface picks up dust more readily than plastic, and it should not be wetted or dressed with polish. We stock the same braided cable in black, red, blue, purple and lime green, and where you would rather have a smooth surface there is a plain white PVC version alongside it. No lamp or fitting comes with it; this is cable only.

Wipe along the length with a dry cloth. The braid traps more dust than smooth PVC, so a regular light dusting is better than any wet cleaning.
